Pine Forests of Đà Lạt (2023)
“Pine Forests of Đà Lạt” was written as a fun little for my mother’s birthday. Originally for strings it has since been ornamented with a piano part.
The piece is about my mother’s hometown-Đà Lạt, Việt Nam. With towering mountains, lush pine forests, and rambunctious people to go along with it, Đà Lạt is such a beautiful city. I pay homage to that vivacity, with many moving lines interacting in a playful manner.
